It’s snowing in Seattle today and every single person is having the exact same conversation

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening
by Robert Lee Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it’s queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there’s some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
It’s getting a little better — live feed — and I’ve heard reports that the sun is peeking out North of Chicago.

You’re getting warmer.
Going on now at Piedmont Park: We spied a For Sale sign, a blow up pool, a laundry basket and something that looked like a cardboard shark being used as sleds in this video. Also glad to see the skiers are practicing good skier safety and wearing their helmets.
What can I say? Us Georgians are resourceful.

I think I need to get out of the house and get to the park now…
How It’s Done of the Day: While you were busy whining about having to shovel out from under a measly 30 inches, plowing machines were busy erecting 20-meter high “snow corridors” along Japan’s Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.

Make A Snowflake Yours via Creative Applications
Lovely little project for this time of year.
This is an online project which allows you to create a unique cut-out snow flake to print off and build together. You enter your name, and through a Java / Processing program, you will see a 3D version of your snowflake. You can then download a pdf of the shapes you need to cut-out and put together.
because you just can’t get enough snow.
