The White House Loves Aggressive Journalism, As Long As It Isn’t About Them

The White House has been talking up the impressive, and daring, journalism coming out of Syria, but doesn’t see the connection to Obama’s unprecedented use of the Espionage Act to prosecute whistleblowers. Check out the exchange between ABC News reporter Jake Tapper and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.

For background and analysis of the exchange, head over to the Government Accountability Project.

Obama, the Muslim president, intentionally ignores Christianity as the official religion of America and dares to wish us all “holidays [that] shine with the light of the season.” From the “article:”

The official White House holiday card makes no mention of the word ‘Christmas’ and instead focused on Bo the First Dog based on the wishes of the First Family.
“From our family to yours, may your holidays shine with the light of the season,” read the inside of the card, featuring the presidential seal.

The front of the card features Bo the First Dog lounging by a fireplace. Holiday greenery is draped over the fireplace mantle. Holiday presents are placed on a table underneath a poinsettia – instead of a Christmas tree.

It’s almost as if they planned to send it to some families that don’t celebrate Christmas or something.

Possibilities….

  • EVERY CIRCUS NEEDS A TENT!!
  • They’re flight-testing Omoslem’s prayer rug.
  • Someone in Virginia fried bacon.
  • changing Oval office to a Crescent office.

How reality-TV-wannabes Michaele and Tareq Salahi managed to crash the White House’s first State Dinner has been the subject of front page stories everywhere. The story raises some serious questions about White House security. They got pretty close to the President and the Indian Prime Minister, as well as so many other high-ranking government officials.

Although, they had no metal implements on them when they entered, what would have stopped them from grabbing a knife from a table, or what about a chemical substance they could have had smuggled in.  The what-ifs are probably going to get someone into trouble.  All I can think about is how screenwriters will have to change the way they write about spies getting into the White House now. Oh brother.

You can bet this will make for more security, as well as a nice side career for the Salahis.

In the new movie, 2012, opening November 13th, Roland Emmerich destroys the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican, the statue of Christ The Redeemer in Rio, and of course the White House. But he felt that destroying the Kaaba, the cube-shaped building at the heart of Mecca, would be too explosive.  Whoa.  Something to think about there, I think.
